The Most Asked Question
Whether a person has been working as a traveling nurse for one year or ten years,
there's always one question which is always asked first: What does it pay?
"What does it pay?" is certainly an important question. After all, who wants to
take a pay cut, or work for a facility that doesn't pay well or work for a facility
known to be a nightmare with unsafe conditions, which could jeopardize your license
- just to earn more money?
But, "what does it pay" is just the start of the important questions you should
ask before you take on a new assignment.
Other questions include:
- What's the cost of living in the area?
- When do I get my first paycheck?
- What benefits start day one?
- Will I be working in a public or private hospital?
- Is the total compensation package adequate?
- Is the hospital a culture in which you will work comfortably and effectively?
- If I like this assignment, can I extend?
- What will the schedule be?
- Are other nurses making more money than you doing the same work?
- What kind of options do I have if I have a family emergency?
- Can I work additional shifts? If so, how am I compensated?
- Do I have to share housing or do I have to pay for private accommodations?
Asking a few questions before you accept a job will increase the chance of satisfaction
on your next assignment.

What are nurses
saying about TG Healthcare?

"Darin Taylor is a phenomenal recruiter and I'm proud to call him my friend. He's
prompt in taking care of the details for an assignment. If a problem comes up, he
handles it professionally and above all else - quickly. I can't imagine traveling
with another recruiter."
